I’ve worked at this Nursery for five years. I chose to work here because Places for Children has a lot to offer: good pay, holidays, pension. This makes it very different to private day nurseries: staff tend to stay longer – which is great for the company and the kids.
The best thing about this nursery is that there’s lots of variety. Every day is
different. A typical day involves caring for the children throughout the day. I
provide lots of different activities for the children – trying to make it as
interesting as possible for their different needs.

I’ve worked at Places for Children for 3 years. I love working with children. I
especially enjoy preparing children for school, watching the children develop
through the nursery and achieving their goals - their early years are so
important.
I enjoy making a difference in the children lives and early years. At Places for
Children we take pride in the quality of the nursery and the high standards we
provide our families. I work in very large open plan nursery with lovely staff –
it’s such a fun place to be.
A typical day for me is packed with lots of different activities: I greet the
children in the morning, enjoy breakfast time, morning greeting and circle time.
‘Free flow’ is when I participate in activities in a set area such as the sand
area outside. We then enjoy more group time, have lunch and take part in more
activities in the afternoon – including lots of small group work. At hometime, I
meet and greet parents and give them feedback about the children's day.
